Hi, I'm Daan!
Since childhood, I've had a passion for creating visual content. It started with photography, but later on, I developed a strong interest in moving images as well. Over the past few years, I've been able to pursue my passion for visual storytelling at the 'Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht,' where I studied Audiovisual Media until 2023.
During my studies, I discovered that my true love lies in the aesthetic realm. I embrace the role of a designer with great enthusiasm, exploring various aspects such as set design, lighting, color grading, and experimenting with different types of film or video cameras—all in pursuit of a unique and characterful atmosphere.
My inspiration comes not only from film but also from less conventional artistic realms, such as graphic design, pulp art, abstract theater, lo-fi music, B-movies, and internet trends. I believe that the media industry could benefit from more diversity, expanding our perspectives, and I hope to contribute to that!
